Richard Vedder, a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Illinois, is Distinguished Professor of Economics Emeritus at Ohio University. He is author of numerous books including Going Broke By Degree: Why College Costs Too Much, Out of Work: Unemployment and Government in Twentieth-Century America, and The Wal-Mart Revolution; his newest book, Solving Higher Education’s Triple Crisis, is due out this fall. Dr. Vedder’s commentary has been published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Forbes, National Review and numerous other media outlets. He has taught at numerous other universities, including at the University of Colorado, and has spoken literally hundreds of times to audiences throughout the U.S and numerous countries in Europe and Asia. He has met and advised numerous political leaders as diverse as George W. Bush and Vladimir Putin.
